Néstor Lasala Barcelona is a Spanish violinist living in the Netherlands. He recently graduated with a masters degree in Fontys Hogeschool voor de Kunsten, Tilburg. Since graduation he has played with the Residentie Orkest, Den Haag and has been awarded with the first price on the Jong Talent Concours Maassluis 2019 with his chamber music group, the Astéri Trio. Additionally he is preparing chamber music repertory from Spanish and Hispanic composers for violin and spanish guitar with his duo partner Santiago Basante Arias for upcoming concerts.
Originally from Zaragoza, he studied bachelor at the CSMA Conservatory. After graduating he traveled to the Netherlands to study with Wouter Vossen and Natalia Gabunia. During the course of his studies he took part in several projects with the National Youth Orchestra of the Netherlands (NJO) and performed as a soloist with the Fontys Orchestra.
